"At first the room they gave me was awful. the door didn't lock and it needed a repainting. But then the staff did upgrade me to another room. I don't think the hotel should "

"Old and tired. It was a Hampton Inn originally so it wasn’t great to start with, but now it is just old and tired. They make a small effort with free water and coffee. It’s a good value in the $150 range for Manhattan, if pricing is above that look elsewhere. "

"We loved our stay at Public, the hotel is beautiful and the staff went out of their way to help us. It’s in a great location, we were able to walk most of the trip. I do wish they had better parking options at the hotel. "
