I usually do not take the time to complete reviews, even when I really enjoy the location. In this case, I’m anxious to do so, as the Grand Hotel Capodimonte in Sorrento, Italy, is an amazing place. Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, which not only includes our room, but the elevator, restaurant, lawns, etc. The location is amazing – you simply walk about 150 yards down the hill and you’re in the heart of the best shopping and dining in the city. Other hotels are on the strip, but they are “too busy”, and the 150 yard walk is worth it. A 10-minute walk to the marina to catch ferries to Pasitano, Alalfi, Capri, etc., and a 15-minute walk to the bus terminal for additional options. The staff could not have been more friendly. Complimentary breakfast was first class all the way. Our plane left super-early from Naples (1.5 hours away), so we had to leave before breakfast was served. The hotel made us a “travel breakfast bag” to eat on the way to the airport. Incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. One of my finest travel experiences ever. A+++ and highly recommended. This hotel was one of the most beautiful we have every stayed in! The grounds were lush, views from our room were breath taking & the staff did everything possible to elevate our stay. We loved the breakfast included, and also thought the location was perfect as it was a 5 minute walk to the main strip of Sorrento. The multiple pools & amenities included took it to another level! Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Sorrento!
