"Location is perfect for exploring"

"When we arrived to the to El Ray, they told us about an event and we were surprised. The front desk said that it was Expedia fault for not communicating to us. We were hoping for a quiet night instead there was an ‘event’ that never ended. When we complained we were offered a room in a sister hotel, Glorietta. We came to the room parked and got our stuff. A man and a woman from the adjacent room were smoking outside and talking, I was hoping they would go inside after a while. When we settled down they were smoking outside again. I asked them to step away from the rooms because smoke was going into the room. They ignored me. We went to sleep only to be woken up at midnight by a security guard standing around with a next door visitor , smoking, talking. His car headlight flooding room with light. I again asked them to please step away from the rooms because of the smoke. The guard said ‘thank you for asking politely’ and complied but by that time our sleep was completely ruined. The whole situation felt unsafe. "

"The staff was excellent, the property in the lobby and hallways was clean and well decorated. The breakfast was great, homemade breakfast burritos! The price was right. However, we had a small dog with us. They must have certain rooms set aside for dogs, because the room we were given absolutely reeked of urine and room deodorizer. The strong scent couldn’t mask the strong urine smell. We put up with it. If the room hadn’t smelled, it would have been a great experience. "

"A sweet motel with thoughtful and intentional amenities. Rooms and beds were just what we needed after a day of driving. Utilized the small fridge in the room which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was delicious! Best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had. Staff was attentive and helpful and also provided dinner recommendations. Will stay again!"

"A decent and traditional hotel"

"This is my second time staying at this wonderful Hotel. The location is perfect. It is located within the city center, steps from the plaza. It was very quiet, clean and beautifully decorated in the style of Santa Fe. I thought the beds were super comfortable and it was nice having the sitting area and outside table on the balcony. We ate at Hawt pizza twice. The wood fired pizzas and cocktails were great! I appreciated the staff as they were really nice and informative. We had a car so being able to park in their garage was such a convenience. I would definitely recommend this property."
