Woke up to a superb hot shower, enormous fluffy towel, and then the most amazing and sumptuous breakfast I have EVER had….and I’ve had some breakfast! The absolute best. “Great for an overnight stay. Plenty parking, but watch height restriction into main bit of carpark. Our room and I think most rooms, was away from bar area and road so not noisy. Really clean, good condition, great for an overnight stay, but standard room a bit small for an extended stay. Allow time for breakfast in the morning, great choice and cooked to order, worth the wait. Meal in bar in evening good. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again and would recommend. “Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...
