"The Barceló Costa Vasca is my go-to hotel in San Sebastián.
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, it’s just a 5-minute walk from La Concha Beach (Kontxa Hondartza) and around 10 minutes by bus to the Old Town, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
The hotel is also well connected, with two bus stops directly across the road. The No. 16 bus runs every 15 minutes, providing a quick and convenient journey into the Old Town.
On-site facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool and a spacious gym. However, for a Barceló hotel, I expected better maintenance around the pool. Several of the sun umbrellas were broken, which made the area look a little shabby and detracted from the overall experience.
If you’re travelling by car, the hotel also offers plenty of on-site parking in a large underground car park."
