"Lovely clean hotel and well maintained spaces. Bar snacks and breakfast were lovely and so was the pool area, would happily return. Some really nice quieter spaces in both the breakfast area and bar/cafe too. Robes in the bedrooms would have been a welcome addition and a quicker way of getting pool towels rather than having to queue behind guests checking in."

"Nice hotel lovely atmosphere. Amazing pool and lovely pool and bar staff. 30 min walk through a lovely park to the beach. €6 in an Uber. Nice bars on the way back from the beach. €1:60 a wine .."

"Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff at Reception. Very comfortable, modern, good sized room, pleasantly decorated. Excellent breakfast, with many options. We loved it. Very good location. Pleasant walk along the river. The food served at the bar is outstanding. This hotel exceeded our expectations."

"This is an Axel hotel so I expected certain amenities and support. The room was great and spacious, as well as finely equipped. The pool area was good but lacked services like food and drinks. There was no rooftop scene to get into at night. Recommendations about bars and nightlife were severely lacking. There were a couple small touches at the pool area, like a small glass of champagne was served once while I was there. Could be an amazing property with a few enhancements being made. Location cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! The property and area very safe day and night. There were a few restaurants right around the corner with a very local vibe."

"The Artist Grand Hotel of Art, Bilbao – A True Artistic Masterpiece ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just returned from a stay at The Artist Grand Hotel of Art in Bilbao, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had in Europe. Perfectly located directly across from the iconic Guggenheim Museum, this 5-star property doesn’t just offer a place to sleep—it immerses you in art, design, and Bilbao’s vibrant energy from the moment you arrive. The location is unbeatable. Waking up to sweeping views of Frank Gehry’s architectural wonder right outside your window (especially from the higher floors or suites) is pure magic. The hotel’s design, a collaboration featuring artist Javier Mariscal, feels like an extension of the Guggenheim itself. The interiors are a stunning museum of 20th-century furniture and bold, whimsical details—think curated art installations, thoughtful contemporary touches, and spaces that spark creativity at every turn. Whether you’re in Bilbao for the museums, architecture, or Basque cuisine, this hotel elevates the entire trip. It’s not just accommodation—it’s part of the cultural experience.
