  • Cascate del Diborrato - Parco fluviale dell'Elsa Inside the residential area of Colle Val d'Elsa is a historic and natural landscape of enormous value thanks to the Elsa River which crosses the Val d'Elsa creating a unique territory. The river creates enchanting corners for hiking and observing: the engineering works for gathering water, the artifical canal system for carrying the water to the city, the caves. A particularly suggestive point is the Diborrato water falls, a 15m jump which is more than 10m deep, a sort of small lake where the locals used to go to cool off. Other places not to miss are the Grotta dell'Orso, the Conchina, the Masso Bianco, the Nicchia and the Spianata dei Falchi, each with its own particularities. This natural richness has been recognized with the institution of a protected area in the River Park of the Upper Val d'Elsa which includes the path of the river from the city of Colle Val d'Elsa which stretches from Ponte Santa Giulia to Ponte di Spugna and includes the Caldane, thermal springs which were known to the Etruscans and Romans.

  • #TroveOn Yes, Monteriggioni just might be the quintessential walled medieval village in Tuscany. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). The major gate tourists will use when coming from the parking lot, Porta Franca, owes its name to the Via Francigena--Monteriggione was a major stop on the pilgrimage trail from Cantebury to Rome. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta will offer assistance with housing for modern pilgrims traveling the Francigena pilgrimage route. Monteriggioni was a sleepy village of farmers and sheep herders as late as the 1960's. Today it exists entirely for tourists and pilgrims. You'll find wine shops, a tasting room, restaurants and hotels in the small village. This is not neccessarily a disadvantage, although some times it's nice to see some locals puttering about once in a while. Where is Monteriggioni? Monteriggioni is located in the province of Siena, 14km to the northwest of Siena (54km from Florence). While it can be done as a day trip from Siena, you might be better off staying the night--Monteriggioni is much more evocative when the tourists leave late in the afternoon and you can sit in a courtyard sipping a glass of Chianti. Monteriggioni is surrounded by vineyards, and is known for its wine production.

Great property for getting the Tuscan vibe. The restaurant and the pool are perfect for a relaxing vacation. We stayed four nights and were able to checkout nearby towns with ease.

The property is absolutely stunning and the staff are incredible. However the toiletries are lacking, and the beds are very uncomfortable, especially if you sleep on your side. Did not get much sleep there despite the quiet property. We ended up having to put the extra cot pads on top of our mattresses in order to rest. I know pillow top mattresses are not typical in Italy, but these are very, very HARD.

The location and scenery was really great; as was the pool area with beds - a bit unfortunate that guests lay down their towels and are away for 3 hours and re-claim their parasols and beds again The house was not clean , especially kitchen (all felt sticky) - there was no aircon (this was also not in the service description - but I filtered on pool, parking and aircon and this one turned up ; especially in rooms above it was really warm ... The dining was not good (actually very poor) - we were there 3 times : very poor service overall (jn evening) in terms of : wrong meal served, very slow on delivery, needed to wait over an hour between rounds - with no attention if we need anything else : when asked it was indicated 5 more minutes , which turned out to be 15 min. ; meal served 2x without specifications (spoon, fork, etc.) ; side dishes vegetables were extremely poor (ingredients) ; whereas pricing was quite high

Otroligt läckert område med bra restaurang. Fint poolområde. Största nackdelen var att det inte fanns AC på rummet, bara fläktar. Sen är det en bit till närliggande by att besöka. Men superfint!

Agriturismo Toscano.

Ficamos numa casa com 3 quartos. O ambiente é agradável, com o charme que se espera de um agriturismo Italiano. A habitação é bem equipada para preparar refeições embora alguns utensilhos e jogos americanos não estavam bem limpos. Os funcionários foram atenciosos. A casa não tem ar condicionado, como já mencionado por outros hóspedes e em julho isso fez falta. Em especial o quarto do mezanino que era o mais quente, dormi mal. O banheiro deste mesmo quarto é difícil para tomar banho, não é possível ficar em pé e a banheiro deve ter cerca de 1 metro de comprimento.

Unglaublich schöne Unterkunft, welche zum Entspannen einlädt. Das einzige, was vielleicht ein wenig Veränderung bedarf, ist das Frühstück. Grundsätzlich war das Frühstück super lecker und frisch. Jedoch gibt es jeden Tag die gleiche Auswahl. Das Restaurant ist lecker und authentisch. Abends kann man den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang genießen. Kostenlos kann man sich Tennisschläger oder Fahrrädern ausleihen.

Fantastisk sted som bare må oppleves. Svære leiligheter med mange opprinnelige detaljer bevart, god mat i restauranten og fint og rent basseng med mer enn nok solsenger rundt. Området hotellet ligger i er så idyllisk og nydelig som man kan be om.

Nie wrócę i nie polecam.

Brak klimatyzacji, okna wychodzą na drogę, całą noc hałasują samochody, łazienka koszmarna, woda ze spłuczki albo leci stale albo w ogóle nie napływa. Śniadania zamawia się u kelnerów, którzy i tak przynoszą co chcą w ilości jakiej chcą i kiedy chcą. Brak sprzątania, wymiany ręczników, (dostępne za opłatą). Na plus - obsługa bardzo miła i smaczne to co kelnerzy przyniosą na śniadanie.

Super Landhotel!

Top Landhotel, qualitativ sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir waren zum Saisonstart dort, es war alles sehr ruhig. Die Häuser bwz. Wohneinheiten sind auf dem Gelände verteilt. Sehr ruhig, man hört nichts, ausser Eulen nachts. Und man muss es schaffen, den Boiler runterzudrehen, damit es nicht ständig heizt. :) Betten gut, sehr gequem, alles da, alles sauber. Wunderbar gemütlich und herzlich. Sehr zu empfehlen. Lokale Produkte im Restaurant. Das eigene Öl und der eigene Wein sind auch zu empfehlen.

Molto bello.Il check però non corrisponde a quello di expedia perché è dalle 15,30 e non dalle 14 e comunque è forse un po'tardi.Altra cosa che non corrispondeva è stata la stanza che non era quella che ci avevano proposto.
