"The hotel was stunning and staff were lovely—we were even upgraded to a beautiful Laguna room with direct pool access. However, we visited in mid-October and were disappointed to find most nearby places already closed for the season. The hotel had only one restaurant open with limited options and very high prices (€162 for two pizzas and a bottle of rosé). We tried exploring Baia (20 minute walk) and Porto Cervo (10 minute taxi, costing €40 each way), but both were mostly shut down. Even online listings showed places as open, which was misleading. By Day 4, we decided to rent a car, which was more cost-effective than taxis. We had room service once for lunch, but most days we relied on the nearby supermarket (about a 5-minute walk). They had fresh rolls, meats, and cheeses, which we brought back to our room. It’s a real shame there wasn’t clearer communication about the seasonal closures. The area is stunning, and we would have loved to experience it at its best. Had we known, we definitely would have chosen a different time of year to visit!"

"Beautiful part of Sardinia; the public beaches around are gorgeous and pristine; the staff at Aethos are really excellent; the restaurant is good. Sophisticated, great for couples and yet also child friendly without being overrun by children. "

"The view was beautiful, the room was spacious, and the front desk staff were super friendly and kind. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was a complete disappointment. The moment we walked in, the bald man working there seemed unhappy to see us and immediately told us we needed a reservation. When we checked in earlier, we had asked about this and were told no reservation was required since the restaurant is for hotel guests only. We waited far too long for our food. By the time it arrived, it was already cold. The “ginger chicken” literally had pieces of raw, unpeeled ginger in it, and my salad never even arrived. A simple salad should not take that long to prepare, yet it never came at all. The poor service and unprofessional attitude completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. The front desk kindly sent two desserts to our room afterward, which was a thoughtful gesture, but it didn’t make up for the terrible dining experience. If you stay here, I highly recommend eating somewhere else instead of the hotel restaurant."
