Skopelos Town by night. Skopelos is a wonderful Greek island with an authentic feel and most certainly my favourite. Reputed to be the greenest of all the Greek islands it is covered in pine forests. It is also relatively unspoilt as it does not have an airport & is not the easiest island to get to. Like nearly all the islands however it can get busy at the height of the summer. The main town tumbles down to the harbour through a mass of narrow streets where rubbish is still collected by mule. The tavernas abound with live music & several well known Greek musicians live and/or perform regularly here.

The member of staff who collected us from the airport was very friendly and obliging. We had no real contact with anyone else. There was no hot water and I had to wash my hair under a cold shower the next morning!

Very fast check in ( I called the lady to say I was arriving in 5 minutes) room is super clean , bed comfy, blackout curtains worked well! Only one negative, that could have had more mini milk portions for tea/ coffee, but apart from that I will always try to book this place

Alonnisos (Greek: Αλόννησος), also transliterated as Alonissos or Alonisos, is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. After Skiathos and Skopelos it is the third member of the Northern Sporades.
