What a gem!! We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Hideaway! We stayed in Cottage 1 with two young kids and it was perfect. So so clean and you can tell the high level of care that was put in. We also love the property grounds with beautiful plants and variety of fruit trees (star fruit, mangoes, coconut, etc). The outdoor shower to rinse off beach sand (which was literally outside the resort gate), beach chairs, towelsโฆ just so thoughtful with each detail. The outdoor restaurant was delicious (a little pricey, but seemed consistent with island pricing). Overall, we had a fantastic time and have already recommended to family and friends! Thank you!!
A gem of a resort tucked away on a quiet part of the island. If you're looking for a big resort with a ton of amenitites this won't be for you but if you're looking for a beautiful home base to explore the island and a bit of serenity this is perfect.
It was a
Nice stay Very quiet and small. Not a resort, no front desk. Beds were extremely comfortable. Food options are very limited. Lots of mosquitoes in our room when we arrived. We brought a big zapper and killed at least 25 upon arrival. and throughout our stay the mosquitoes were in our room. Their only remedy was giving us a can of deet bug spray.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was quiet, and the area felt less touristy than other areas of the island. It had a very nice pool surrounded by lush vegetation, and a beach steps away. The Shack restaurant next door also had a very cool vibe and great food.
Absolutely incredible stay at Hideaway! Would highly recommend. Very clean, updated, and spacious accomodations. Steps from the beach. Staff was incredibly nice and responsive. It is on a very quiet and secluded part of the island so would recommend renting a Jeep. We also loved walking over to the Shak to grab a yummy lunch or dinner.
Loved this property/oasis as far as possible from the cruise ships and the crowd. Itโs on the north side of the island, in the more โdesolateโ, less touristy part of the island. The property itself feels like a lush oasis just a minute walk from the water. Itโs nice to encounter locals that come to this area to enjoy this last remaining resort free part of the island. The Shak next door offers food and drinks and just a few steps further is a local bar where islanders hang out. Again, the vibe is chill and non-touristy. Hope it stays that way and no other hotels builds there. Loved it.
Found the website to be very misleading. There was no farm to table-chef dining experience, the only place to eat was the Shack which was only mediocre pub grub. The only employee we saw over six days was the gardener. There was no one welcome us or to give information when we arrived, only a telephone number if we needed help. I was interested in taking the farm tour advertised on the website but was told, over the phone, they did not do that but could walk around alone. I think there are much better places to stay on St Thomas.
Loved the location and being right on the beach with a great bar called The Shack with great food and very friendly bartenders. Magens Bay which is one of the best beaches in the world is 10 min away. The best restaurant on the island called Fish Bar is 5 min away and there's a grocery store even closer on the same road. This was everything I hoped it would be and more and we will be back. Make sure you rent a car and I wouldn't call it kid friendly.

The Resort is beautiful! We felt tucked away and the grounds are well kept. The cottage was just right for me and my husband. However it rained our last night there and it rained through our roof. My pillow and bed were wet. The electric went off. I called customer service three times. They were remote and promised us someone would follow up. No one came to the cottage or called. We received an email offering us breakfast the next day. We were very disappointed. We took pictures of the roof, water spots, and linen. We did not know transportation would be so difficult from the resort. We had to beg and hitch rides every day.
The property is a true oasis. Clean and accommodating on a 4 star level honestly. There is a restaurant adjacent to the property (The Shack) good food and tvs for watching sports. There is another beach bar steps away with award winning wings but just a beach bar hut nothing fancy.
The beach is good for sunbathing there are quite a few rocks once you walk in the water so Iโd recommend water shoes to get past that point. Not overly crowded so super relaxing.
Back to Hideaway Hull, truly a gem Iโd recommend over and over again. Property is well kept and picturesque. Perfect for solo travelers like myself or families. Iโll be returning.
This is a unique farm state property. The rooms are very nice updated comfortable with the most basic amenities. Bathroom items are good quality, plenty of robes and towels. Lots of lizards on property and we got one in our room, but it was no problem. They push you right out at check out and if you stay a little bit extra, they want more money which I found is common on the islands around here and 10am is too early and doesnot seem too friendly when you have a little baby and youโre making multiple trips to the car. They serve pastry fruit and coffee for breakfast for nine dollars, but I never got it because they serve the plate of fruit open uncovered waiting for a guest to have breakfast and there were mats all around and that was a turn off for me to not buy the breakfast either day if they would just cover the fruit I probably wouldโve bought the breakfast because there is no food in this part of the island except for the shack next-door and itโs not open for breakfast. No, on the shack, there are sand fleas, and wear bug spray we got bit up. We got a lot of bites on this part of the island as opposed to sapphire beach. I went to the nomads bar a little further down from shack when I first got there before check-in and the tattooed bartender girl was complaining to everyone about her tips seemed very unhappy. She needs to not be a bartender if someone can pass that comment along she was very rude. Take her out of the picture and the nomad space is really cool.
Me and my husband were celebrating our 25-year anniversary. The Hudeaway Hull Bay was absolutely amazing. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The room setup was beautiful. The staff even surprised us with a bottle of champagne in the room to celebrate which was very appreciative.
