"The staff was incredibly hard to find, they were never by the front desk. The reviews had stated that others had issues with bed bugs and mold in recent weeks, when I inquired about this I was greeted rather rudely at my room door with, “you have a problem?” It was close to the bus stop and walkable to the local area, but the beds were not comfortable, we had to ask for a had towel (which did not exist, we just got an extra bath towel) and we only got one very thin pillow. When we asked for another one the man taking care of the property said, “the pillows are thin and uncomfortable I know.” Like if you know how bad they are why not offer better ones or more than one. Also, I think just one person was working at a time, this meaning they were the ones cleaning the rooms as well, so their sandals were just in the hallway near the supply closet, it was honestly kind of gross. There was no air conditioning but the fan and window did the trick and we were never too hot, which was one of the only positives. The carpet was uneven and dirty, the hotel overall just kind of was unkept, dingy and would not recommend this to anyone. Booked through Expedia so I paid beforehand and had no way to receive a discount or refund."

"What a place! Needed a break from Stockholm city while working away. Certainly found peace in the beautiful setting! Rooms are quite dated, but very clean and perfectly equipped. The food was OUTSTANDING!! Didn’t get chance to use the pool/sauna but would definitely recommend."

"The staff at checking in at recptionwere rude, disinterested and not helpful at all. We were early for check in and we asked if we could leave our bags with him, we were told just leave them in the lobby where anyone could have access to them. He then proceeded to leave the re option area. There were no glasses or drinking cups in the bathroom or bedroom and when I went to reception to ask for them the attendant merely said "what do you expect at a 3 star hotel".... no apology! There was no TV remote either and we had to go down again to reception and when the lady rought 3 of them, she was not sure how to use them. The weekend breakfasts were very good, but on the Monday . morning the good loaves of bread were not there and when we asked for them were told they dont have have any and just walked away. Same guy, same attitude a d no apology. Definately can not give any recommendation.!!!! Disgusting behaviour.. Hotels.com please drop them."

"Trevlig personal. Stimmigt receptionsområde. Bra restaurang men rummet var trist - beige så att säga. Funktionsanpassat men luktade mediciner och hade inget inbjudande i varken färg, konst eller dekoration. Kändes mer som ett vandrarhem än ett hotell. "

"The promo for this hotel on Expedia was very misleading. We wanted to stay on or near Vaxholm. This hotel ad claims to be right near Vaxholm but it is nowhere near it, unless maybe you have private transportation We paid for the room at a non refundable rate . It is hard to get to Vaxholm from this hotel without a car. We therefore could not stay at the hotel. In fact, we immediately realized that as soon as we made the reservation and called the hotel and contacted Expedia but Expedia said the hotel will not refund the reservation money,.even though we explained the problem within minutes of making the reservation. Beware."
