In the forest! And the whole FOREST is singing - with the birds, with the vibrant green colours and with the light! This is June 1, officially summer, and a glorious day, but also so cold that I actually longed for mittens (!) at one point... The temperature here today, on the West Coast of Sweden, has been +10ยฐC - +13ยฐC, and quite some wind to that. Now, that is not at all the usual summer temperature, not even close! And then fast changes in the weather: from sun to rain and back again.. And then hailing! So .....here is were I took shelter, under a tree in this forest, while listening to an extraordinary concert from all the birds. They kept singing even through the hailing.
Stora Amundรถn nature reserve, on the Swedish West Coast. The bright green colour of new leaves and grass in early summer is almost overwhelming! This is on the little road that crosses the island, just before you enter the forest. The beaches are further ahead, once you get out of the forest. No vehicles allowed on the island. A small pedestrian bridge connects the island to the mainland, where there is a large parking.
