Tulloch Castle Hotel

"“Staying at Tulloch Castle was a wonderful experience. The grounds were immaculate, and the Green Lady Bar had a warm, lively feel with excellent drinks. Our room had that classic castle charm, and the bathroom was spotless and spacious, with both a walk-in shower and deep tub. The bed ran firm, which isn’t my preference, but it was manageable. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. The laundry service was a real bonus. We’d absolutely stay again.”"

"We returned to The Shore Hotel for a second time, this time staying an extra night, and once again the standards were exceptionally high. Honestly, this genuinely is our favourite hotel ever! We stayed in Room 1 this time, and in our opinion, the views are the best in the hotel! Waking up overlooking the harbour and beautiful coastline is just something special. The food continues to blow us away. We ate in the restaurant every day, and everything was exquisite. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even the snacks were all out of this world. The quality, freshness and flavours are exceptional, and every meal was a highlight of our stay. A special mention to the staff, who were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They genuinely made the effort to get to know you, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. Those personal touches really do make a difference! The hotel itself is gorgeous, with its beautiful seaside feel, stunning bathrooms, lovely toiletries and comfortable rooms. You can really appreciate the thought, effort and pride that have gone into creating somewhere so special. It’s wonderful to see a hotel of this standard in Balintore, a place that holds a very special place in my heart. Huge credit to everyone involved in making The Shore Hotel what it is. The hospitality, setting, accommodation and food make it somewhere we will keep coming back to. Two visits down, and we’re already looking forward to the next!"

"Our room was clean and beds comfortable. The hallways/doors were very dirty. They need to assign a dedicated staff to do cleaning and maintenance every once and awhile. Scrub the doors, touch up the paint. The doors were so dirty I didn’t like touching them to open them. The staff/ reception was wonderful and helpful in every way. The rooms don’t have many amenities, just a kettle. We didn’t purchase breakfast here because the continental was only coffee and cereal, no toast or fruit. You had to order the full hot breakfast if you wanted a simple toast breakfast, the price vs value was not comparable to other hotels continental offerings. The location was perfect! Across from the castle, short walks to everything, and the bus around the corner if you’re a traveller. Lastly they have a late 11am checkout. All in all I was happy with the hotel."

"We LOVED our room & stay here….wish we had booked another couple days. Staff were very nice, accommodating and kind. We were blessed with sun & blue sky…..walk across the road to the golf course and an easy walk to a beautiful beach. The grounds are lovely. They had a wedding party and could not accommodate our having dinner at the hotel BUT the receptionist made a recommendation and booked a nearby dinner for us which was very good 🙂 If we get back over the pond we would stay here again & for longer"

AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness

"A nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms, what the hotel fails to tell you is there is ongoing construction with over half of the hotel covered in scaffolding. There is workers walking up and down the hallways from 0800-1600, in the lift which is small, walking through reception, the carpark is full of construction equipment so you have to park across the road that cost £10 a day. What annoyed me was the lack of information on the construction and the parking. It would be a 5 Stars if it wasn’t for the construction and the lack of information about the construction."
