It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. "Great location, within walking distance to the castle and train station (because of luggage, we took a cab to the hotel). We stayed in a Japanese-style room which was spacious and comfortable for three of us. The staff was very nice and the breakfast solid. I would highly recommend this property."
