"This hotel room was awful. The sheets had large stains on them. How they weren’t noticed before being put on the bed, I’ll never know. When I showed a photo to the front desk, her response was, “Are you sure it was there before you came?” 🙄
We had what amounted to a thimble of toilet paper, and when we ran out at 10 p.m., we discovered there weren’t any extra rolls in the room. I played “Guess Your Disease” with the stains on the shower curtain, and I’m pretty sure the tub hasn’t seen bleach this century. The floor was disgusting.
To top it off, there was a speaker blasting music at the pool well past 10 p.m. Breakfast was underwhelming, but by that point my expectations were already loooooow.
We’ve stayed at multiple Wyndham properties over the years, and none have ever been like this. It was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. You’re essentially paying for the pool and the river view.
It was a one-night experience I have absolutely no desire to relive."
"The shower head leaked extremely bad and sprayed all over the floor. The breakfast was very limited and left alot to be desired. Its a smoke free building and our room smelled like a poker game from cigarette smoke and staff just sprayed air freshener. There were baseball tournaments in town, so we had teenage boys running up and down the halls unsupervised until late. Overall the hotel looks nice, but its a budget version of a regular nice hotel."
"Breakfast provisions were terrible. A boy's baseball tournament was in town and only one person was allocated to wait on over twenty people at one time. No coffee or food. The boy's had cleaned out all the food and upon waiting no more was brought out so we left."
Postcard Cabins Talladega Valley, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin was AMAZING! Clean, bed was so comfortable. The kirchen area had everything you needed. Just bring ice! Everything else, is here. Wonderful place!!! The view is absolutely gorgeous!!! The fire pit and picnic table was a bonus. Having NO TV, is exactly what you need. I turned my phone off and just simply reconnected to what really is important. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK!! Ashley, has been a joy working with. Very polite, and she makes sure you feel comfortable and you have everything you need!"
"Room was dirty. There was shredded cheese on the counter and floor. Linens were old. We went to TJ Max and bought sheets/pillows and blanket. It's an old Motel 6 type motel that's been painted and the paint didn't even match and they didn't even patch the old nail holes."
"This historic property is extremely well-maintained and very comfortable even for an extended stay. It is really the centerpiece of Anniston. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant after a bumpy check-in experience. Breakfast was generous if a little uneven. There are a few indications on Expedia that are not quite accurate anymore, but that doesn't take away from a generally very positive stay."
"The Quality Inn offered convenient access to restaurants, a Tesla Supercharger, and interstate access. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property and rooms were extremely well-maintained. While the Quality Inn offered breakfast, they did not have gluten-free choices. For the convenience of location, I would definitely stay at this Quality Inn again."
