"My stay at Diamonds Dream of Africa was unfortunately a very mixed experience. We arrived late and, despite it being my birthday, our room was not ready upon arrival. The reception staff was not particularly welcoming, and the reception area itself appeared quite dirty, which immediately affected the first impression. There also seemed to be very few staff available during our stay, possibly because there was a team-building event ongoing at the hotel. The food experience was also disappointing. The menu choices were limited, and overall the food felt very basic for a resort of this standard. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and variety. Housekeeping and guest support were quite poor. On our second day, our room was cleaned very late, and despite calling reception several times requesting basic items like soap and slippers, no one came to assist us. We eventually had to physically go to reception ourselves. At one point, we also had no water in the room. We informed reception, but there was little urgency or follow-up to check whether we were okay. The birthday experience was also mishandled. My friend had organized a surprise cake and birthday song for me, but the staff unfortunately ruined the surprise by repeatedly coming to our table, twice, asking who the birthday girl was. "What an absolute gem. From the second you're greeted off the plane by the team who help you on the boat to the island until the moment you leave, everyone is super friendly including the dogs! Comfy giant beds, powerful showers, refreshing pool with lots of shady lounging spots, gorgeous vistas, delicious food, punchy cocktails and a long stretch of pristine beach. Great location for day trips or just unwinding on site. We will be back."

"This is not 5 star property , and is not priced like one. There is no swimmable maintained beach around, ocean water is dirty. Food is ok but nothing special. Rooms are clean, watched out for lizards. Pools are busy, ants are everywhere around "
