“Old building so quirks expected. Cross Keys single room nice, bathroom clean, heating good and adjustable. All staff very pleasant and helpful, Manager, Chef, Housekeeping, and others. Specially enjoyed bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. Let me leave cabin case on premises after checkout until later in the day. Historic area so lots to see, and many shops ie Boots, Waterstones, Co-op and Curzon cinema, within walking distance although some steps and inclines rather steep.Railway station and...

“Although there are only four rooms, ours was comfortable and equipped with all essentials (except it could use more electrical outlets). It was very dark and quiet at night, allowing a great night's sleep. The inn is exactly how a country inn should be and there is an absolutely superb beer garden. The staff were all attentive and considerate. The food in the restaurant is a bit variable but is perfectly adequate and our continental breakfast was fine for us. We'd be very happy to stay here...
