“The toilet was on the outside of the room which i was not expecting when i had booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower also steps onto carpet and there is no exhaust fan and no way to open the window which makes room quite humid when trying to straighten hair. Also concerned also the shower had some mould in it. The no exhaust fan with the shower being in the room could lead to mould problems in the future. Otherwise okay”

“The room was very clean and accessible. it had a shared bathroom but was otherwise self contained. The hostess (Cath?) was very helpful and responsive. The building looked more residential than a hotel but did exactly what I needed it to. I'm happy to recommend it for a short stay.”

“A very friendly welcome when we arrived. The property is in a quiet street within easy walk of the Hoe, Barbican and the city centre. Parking can be difficult, but there were spaces when we arrived. Instructions are sent by the owner after booking, but it basically involves a pass for some free parking and paying for the rest. “We chose this hotel based on its proximity to Tintagel and Port Isaac. In the end, we decided not to go to Tintagel but we would go to Port Isaac. The bus to Port Isaac stops a short 2-3 min walk from the hotel and after trying to get to Port Isaac in the past and encountering fords (water) and very narrow country lanes, the bus was certainly a great option. “The proprietors were welcoming and very helpful with dietary intolerances. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again.”
