Would go again

Fantastic, friendly staff. Front desk arranged tours and taxis. Close to beach. Great casual oceanfront restaurant/bar at end of street.

I liked that the room was clean, the staff were friendly, close to ocean. I didn't like that there was not a lot of dining in the animated area but in walking distance. English was not spoken only by the owner, that we only seen one time. Thank god for google translator. We found the people of Honduras very friendly.

The staff were excellent. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of hot water and the hot breakfast was delicious.

Ok. Not good nor great.

The stay was okay. Not great. They tried to overcharge me for food (they charged me for 2 drinks when I asked for a lemonade, 1 for the water and one for the lemon). They also tried to charge 20% to bring food to my room. The pool is super tiny and was down for the duration of the stay. The hotel is not really close to any of the restaurants or nightlife. The ocean nearest the hotel is swarming with jellyfish so you have to go down a ways to get to a beach without them. I and my girlfriend both got stung the first day. I would not stay here again. For a few dollars more you can stay closer to the life of Tela and at a hotel with a regular sized pool.

The property was simple but clean, safe, and in a good location. If you're not looking for the big resort frills and you just need a simple place to stay, I highly recommend this place.

Not bad, the only thing I didn’t like was the fact that you have to leave your key at the front desk every time you have to leave the hotel

The property was lovely, and every staff member I met was very kind and helpful. They helped me learn how to get around the area and recommended other beautiful places to visit in Honduras. It was really convenient having breakfast and dinner included as well. I will definitely go back.

Nice place. Would stay there again. Safe and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the ac in my room wasn’t great. But to be fair I didn’t communicate the problem.

Nice hotel, close to the beach. Most of the staff numbers were really nice except for one that went to knock on the door very loudly. Nice swimming pool, close to the beach, I would definitely recommend.

Very interesting area, and wonderful hotel staff. Oly, a young lady, was particularly helpful in directions, suggestions, and some informal Spanish lessons. You will want to know some basic Spanish since the hotel staff doesn’t speak English. Breakfast and WiFi is good. The beach is a couple blocks down the road. Taxis are cheap and readily available.

Hotel Playa Bonita mi hotel in Tela

We had a great time at Hotel Playa Bonita in Tela. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hotel is locate 2 blocks from the beach, an ice cream shop, and a cheap taxi ride to anywhere in the old town. If I find my way back to Tela I would definitely stay again.
