“We didn’t find it a dream but it wasn’t a nightmare either. The outside grounds, pool and beach area are lovely, water is crystal clear. It was the room that disappointed us. We stayed in a side sea view room, 102 to be precise. The room had such an old smell to it. Stayed for 7 nights and not once was our bed sheets changed, for a 5* hotel this should be a standard procedure after the 3rd night without having to ask. “This was our 6th visit to The Mayia hotel and it never disappoints . From the moment you walk in you are greeted with calmness and smiles. All the staff in every area of the hotel are all wonderful although a special mention for Erjeta in customer relations for looking after us and making our trip extra special . Food drink and entertainment is all excellent too , can’t wait for our next visit . 😃”

“We went for a wedding- was an absolutely gorgeous stay, the only downside is we booked an inland view room which ended up having a balcony which was below the public footway through the hotel which resulted in when we wanted to sit outside being watched but that’s not too bad. My partner is gluten free and they handled this amazingly but only downside is there aren’t too many gluten free dessert options but that’s by the by. The pools were kept very clean and the drinks were very generous...

“This is not an all-inclusive resort, it is semi-inclusive. You are limited to two restaurants although there are seven of them and once you use up your reservations you must eat at the buffet restaurant. Further, room service is not included (unless you count the water and few cans of soft drinks that they may refill daily). “From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant at all levels. The suite we had was excellent (although the private pool water was cold to get in but great once in !!). The food was first class with lots of variety at breakfast and the set 4 course menu for dinner varied every day of the week and was very tasty and very well presented.
