Toilet Malfunctions – The toilets in the room were not functioning properly. They were not flushing or refilling, causing significant inconvenience. No Room Change Offered – Despite reporting the issue, the hotel did not offer an alternative room or any assistance to resolve the matter. Language Barrier – None of the staff members were able to communicate in English, making it very difficult to get help or explanations. No Buffet Service – The hotel failed to open the buffet as expected, with no prior notice or explanation. Disturbance at Night – There were multiple incidents of people knocking on our door in the middle of the night, which was alarming and unacceptable. Poor Service – Overall, the service provided by the staff was unprofessional and unhelpful. Random Door Knocking – We felt unsafe due to unexplained and random knocking on our door throughout the night.

We had terrible experience here. As the photos on the website look great, we booked four rooms for one night stay in this hotel. Actually, the hotel looks real nice and rooms are big but the equipments and service here were nightmares. One room, the washroom hasn't been cleaned with full trash bin. One room, the A/C was broken dropping the water on the bed. One room,the supply of water was suddently cutted when we were getting shower and it happened once again in the morning. Almost no wifi signal here. We spend 10 amazing days in Sri Lanka except this hotel. 奉劝各位中国游客千万不要被图片蒙骗，事实上，酒店的外观的确不错，房间也很大。但设施和服务简直是噩梦。我们为了去yala national park订了1晚四间房。一间房的厕所没有打扫，垃圾桶都是之前住客留下的垃圾；一间房的空调漏水，滴在床单上，床单也很脏，和酒店反应后只是换了床单，再把靠墙的床往外挪到了房间的中央；我们的房间晚上洗澡到一半停水，致电后过了近十分钟才来水，第二天早上同样的情况再次发生。在这里留下点评，希望不要有别的中国住客再次上当。

Good place to chill for safari-goers

This place has an awesome pool and good, clean rooms. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from Main St. but otherwise close to... not much. Not that there's much to be close to in Tissa. This hotel is a great base for safaris since you have a sweet pool to go back to after or before. The hotel restaurant is generally very good, so eat here. (The places around the corner suggested by certain guide books are pretty bad and wickedly overpriced.) Some areas of service needs improvement, but it seems the management has an honest if not entirely helpful outlook on this. Don't expect too much.
