Immaculate, well-appointed home designed as a B&B, on the Clark Fork River among the Cabinet Mountains. Friendly hosts, lots of resources available to help guests plan excursions into the surrounding area. My only reservation was that I was a bit uncomfortable with the hunting vibe -- not game hunting (it's a clean, honest way to get meat) so much as the predators...it was disturbing me to see the stuffed black bear standing at attention at the head of the breakfast table. It made me sad. I realize that the lodge owner is an avid hunter and angler (and a guide, too, I think?) but I'm just not personally keen on seeing predators stuffed and mounted.
