“Very old hotel, ongoing maintenance to it. Food was lovely, staff was helpful. But the bed was awful, such a poor nights sleep. Windows sounded like they were open, which they weren’t.”
“The pool/jacuzzi/sauna was great to have on a rainy day. There was plenty of choice on site for eating and drinking or it was just a short walk into town. The hotel is virtually next door to the cavernous St Macartan's cathedral, the outstanding building of Monaghan. There was a wedding on the day I arrived which made reception very busy and the staff less available but no less friendly for it.”
