“This place was clean, quiet, and safe, and is in a pretty setting near/on estate lands. Very convenient from the highway for access to local tourist spots and Shannon Airport. The hotel is super large and sprawling. It seems to be very popular with young families. At our Expedia rate it was pretty basic in terms of amenities. We took a look at the breakfast, which wasn't included in our rate, and it also seemed basic, so we gave it a pass. Great local bakeries and other spots to choose from...

“Beautiful place. Set up a crib for my baby before we got there which was amazing. Comfy bed! Nice shower. Delicious breakfast in morning. This will be where we stay whenever we fly into Shannon from here on after.”

“We stayed on a Wednesday night, they inform you of the noise from the night club. The night club isn’t open during the week, but there’s a very nice bar next to it we had a blast in!!. We didn’t hear a peep the whole night. Would definitely stay again!!”

“The bar and atmosphere were amazing! This hotel was super busy with tour buses and big groups coming through. The food is great and the service excellent! The building is old and needs updated badly. The room showed signs of being very old and not professionally maintained. Faucets leaked, carpet old, bathroom tub left a lot to be desired. Overall I would stay there again, very family friendly. Just understand it is an older hotel.”

“Ennis is a beautiful village and Old Ground is right in the middle. Poet's Corner is excellent. My wife said her meal was the best of any meal she had on a 2 week visit to Ireland and Scotland. Bed slept like a dream. Staff was helpful. Ever a property cat at the door to welcome you to the hotel.”

“This is an excellent location, about 15-20 minutes outside of Galway. The room was clean, included two twins and was comfortable. We were on the top floor which was up two flights of stairs, only annoying when bringing the luggage in. There was parking for about 6-8 vehicles in the back, we didn't have trouble finding a space but the lot was full each morning. “Our only regret staying at the Waters was that we only booked one night! The setting and facilities were phenomenal, and our hosts took such good care of us. We stayed in the Granny Flat, so had our own little hideaway right next to the main building, giving us close access to the bar/lounge and spring, but plenty of privacy too. Had a fantastic full breakfast, and stopped by the nearby Newtown Castle at the Burren College of Art for a visit. Would recommend very highly and would love to go...

“Great location, near shopping centers and bus stops, with a short ride going to Eyre Square. The rooms are decent. The first one we got for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teens) was a huge corner room with floor to ceiling windows, some of which were cracked. Since there were two openable windows in the room, we were able to get the air to circulate a bit. Wi-Fi in that part of the hotel was an issue. “Relatively spacious room with a nice bathroom and well-stocked kitchenette. You can tell the rooms are dorms converted to hotel stays for the summer — they’re spacious for a hotel but oddly devoid of much furniture, decor, or accessories. If you need a simple place to sleep without much fluff, this is a good option. It was a relatively far and slightly inconvenient walk to get to the city center and back, but overall still doable and worth it to save money on getting a car/taxi/etc.”
