"If you're visiting from far away like the United States or on a special trip, I'd recommend staying at the Blue Apple Beach Club instead. You don't want to cheap on the little stuff on a vacation. The room was advertisied as having Wifi, and it did not have Wifi or cell signal. Youll have to walk by the pool area to make calls. Also the bathroom has black mold around the sink, and the shower water temperature doesn't get warm or hot. Those basic comforts make a big difference on a vacation, so I...

"Villa #1 was very good. Close to smaller bar but still private. Big room and big jacuzzi. It's lay down Caribbean beach resort so all the facilities were not in top shape - BUT for the price and the amneties it's great. Just remember you need to climb stairs and low hill if you stay at villas. Staff will.carry your luggage. Nice common pool. Great staff. Food and drinks were good and not too pricy. The boat trip itself is already a great experience with the skyline and island views."

"The good- the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is top notch, with amazing views and plenty of comfortable beach loungers. We snorkeled at the beach and there was coral and fish very close by. We had fun during the day at the beach lounging, walking, swimming, and reading. The bad- upon arrival, they told us we needed to pay “the other half” of what we owed. We had already paid in full on hotels.com, though apparently this was a mistake, that was supposed to only be half the price....

"The staff was super kind and helpful, they have a transfer service from and to the city by boat between 10am and 5pm. The cabin I chose had AC and the bar has quite a nice menu for food and drinks. Basic amenities but just fine, the guys will help you in whatever way they can and you won't be pestered so much by vendors. On the other hand, they should think about installing some catch-fly lights cause insects can be really annoying, especially when eating."

"Very nice hotel with a nice staff. 3 nice pool areas and decent workout rooms. The rooms are the typical modern style and comfortable. Beach area isn’t the nicest but it didn’t t matter bc I’m not a beach person; also I hated the motion lights in the BR. Overall this a nice hotel and I will definitely book again."

"Clean, dated room. Staff were a highlight, so friendly. Breakfast was great. Animals and pools were awesome. Having the option for 24/7 room service was helpful. Bocagrande does not have the best beaches, but having the beach club was nice though."

It was the perfect location to experience the city on foot. What truly made my stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff. Every single person I met was kind, respectful, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making my experience special. They made me feel less like a guest and more like part of their community. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and every detail reflected the care and hospitality of the team. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena."
