What a great place. Our room (two twin beds) were just as pictured, clean and with mosquito nets. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the entrance to the park. The food is a bit pricey so we opted for some small stands outside the hotels by the center and a comedor near the parking lot for lunch. No complaints about the hotel. Has a foosball and pool table and even a mini theater. Electricity isnt always on, during certain hours, but that wasnt an issue in the slightest. I would come...

Had a lovely stay here at the hotel. There was an option to include dinner, breakfast and a sunrise or sunset tour for $32 USD. I did it for both nights I stayed and did both tours, and felt it was worth it. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful.
There is another hotel/ restaurant next door if you need variety of food.
Be aware you must have plenty of cash and you must buy all passes (in quetzal cash only) to Tikal including sunrise, sunset tours, day passes to park and museum passes. It is...

In the park there are only 3 hotels to choose from. Jaguar inn is the most budget friendly. I was able to take my 2 children and spend very little. The restaurant serves excellent food, it’s clean, and friendly staff. The rooms are surrounded by nature where you will see wild turkeys, ant eaters, capibara and unique birds right outside your window. If you are used to higher end hotels, stay at the jungle lodge. There they have air conditioning, fancy restaurants, a pool and a more upscale...

We loved out stay at Casa de Don David! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were comfortable for our visit to Tikal. The food was also delicious. The staff helped us arrange a driver for airport pickup and dropoff as well as transportation to and from Tikal. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

We stayed at Posada del Cerro for four nights, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The cabin is in a beautiful location with the lake right in front, offering breathtaking views every day. Waking up to the peaceful scenery and enjoying the sunsets by the water made our stay truly special.
The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax and disconnect, while still being close enough to enjoy the local...

This is amazing hotel. The service is top quality. Employees are friendly and very helpful. We stayed at a room with king bed. It's three times the size of a regular hotel room. Our room was overlooking the lake behind the reception. Behind the water is an amazing forest view. I preferred it to the rooms overlooking the bigger lake on the other side of the property. You can relax in the hot tub watching the forest, listening to the howling monkey shout. Such a unique experience.. If you are a...

I felt so welcomed and taken care of at Taitza. The owners and staff are kind and instrumental in facilitating my time navigating around Flores and Tikal. The property is a fair distance from the island but I was given boat rides to the city to meet my Tikal tour and my plane. Beautiful property, delicious food, highly recommended.

We spent 2 weeks touring Guatemala, attracted by its natural beauty and the Mayan civilization. Hotel Bolontiku is one of our best part. Initially we didn't know that it's a hidden jewel on the lake. We took a taxi following Google Map. It is very wrong - the hotel would pick us up at the port of Flores!
The hotel with 15 suites were built on the cliff, with each suite hidden in the trees. The view is fabulous. The environment is so natural and serene. Yet, we got high speed internet and...

Not too small. Not too big. But the rooms are nicely-sized. And while the hotel does not have central air conditioning, the in-room units are powerful, which is an absolute necessity (for me, at least) in the very hot, very humid rain forest of the Peten. The rooftop bar is a lively place to be in town, but it quiets down very nicely when it is time to go sleep. The rooftop pool is small, but (a) the hotel is not that big, it won't be crowded, and (b) it's big enough for cooling dip when the...
