Great place for the price. Simple yet clean accommodations with lots of amenities. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly and having access to a small kitchen, laundry, and mini-fridge was a bonus. Within walking distance to a subway/train station. Nearby convenience stores. Quiet area after the hustle and bustle of other areas in Tokyo which I appreciated after a long day of site seeing. Like some of the other reviews I agree that the beds and pillows were a bit firm, but I got used to it rather quickly.

For the price I consider this hotel a great value. For a long term stay it was a great home base that didn't break the bank. Many of the staff understood English so if I had no issues communicating. And many of the staff members were very polite and cheerful, which gave me a smile every time. The area also has a decent amount of things near it to experience.

It was my first time in Japan, and I was super nervous about trying to check into a hotel on my own when I didn't speak their language. Definitely check your hotels to make sure they speak a language you know, by the way!! Palace Japan Hotel was wonderful, and most of the people at the desk do speak English! Even if they do not, they still try to help you to the best of your ability. They are so friendly and helpful! Even when I couldn't communicate with one of the ladies at the desk one morning, I just brought out Google Translate to try and communicate and she understood enough to help. If you're looking for a nice place to sleep, no matter how many days, and aren't concerned about the size of the room, this hotel is perfect. The room I was in was relatively small, but I had no problem with it. There is an elevator, which makes bringing your suitcase up and down the place so much easier! The other nice thing is there is a 7-11 and other markets nearby, plus a café. Super convenient! The neighborhood is actually relatively quiet, which is wonderful, and I could walk late at night and still feel safe. The train station is about 10~13 minutes tops when walking from the hotel. The way between the station and the hotel has elevators as an option instead of the stairs, which has been a lifesaver for me since I had two suitcases. PLEASE bear in mind the SOUTH station has escalators that go up, but none going down, so you have to carry your suitcase up/down, depending.

受付の方は丁寧でしたが、施設が古いためか防音・防寒の面で非常に環境が悪かったです。女性専用フロアでしたが、深夜回っても他の宿泊客の共用の場でのヘアドライヤーの使用音や部屋のドアの開閉音、振動がうるさく、室内の冷蔵庫か何かのモーター音や外の道路を走る救急車と暴走族でも全て目が覚めてしまい、おかげでほとんど眠れず、体調を崩しました。女性専用といってもエレベーターは一つでいくらでも男性が入ってこれるので、安全とも言い切れません。一階の共用のダイニングルームには、本当に旅行客か？と疑うような、身なりのあまりキレイでないよくわからない男性がいたので、かなり不審でした。誰でも入ってこれる一階に自由に飲めるコーヒーとポットや家電を置いているので、正直誰か混じっていたんじゃないかとさえ思いました。もう少しセキュリティの面で安全性を高めてもらいたいです。安価で良いと思ったので残念ですが、もう利用しないと思います。

スタッフ達がとても丁寧で親切。清掃の丁寧な仕事ぶりを見て、ちょっと感動。フリースペースにコーヒー、紅茶、ティッシュペーパー等も準備されていて、うれしかった。風呂、トイレは共同だったけれど、清潔感があって、全然不自由はなかった。トイレのペーパータオルの常備も今時めずらしい。細かい、あったらいいな(個室の小さな化粧鏡等)が全てあって、価格以上の満足感。また利用します！ 信号わたってすぐに、２４時間営業？のスーパー、コンビニもあって、便利。
