"Great place to stay in Picton! Highly recommend it :))"

"Unfortunately we didn't quite realise just how small the cabin we booked was. I suppose this is not the facilities fault as they haven't falsely advertised it but it was seriously small. Once the sun went down if you weren't going out you were pretty much stuck laying on the bed as there's no room really to sit anywhere else.I think that they should maybe put on the website just how small they are so you know exactly what you're walking into"

"This hostel is great. It's a little out of the way if you don't have a car, but the bus is only $3 from the airport and it's only an 11 minute walk. They have chocolate pudding every evening at 8pm. *(for Americans, it's not milky, liquidy pudding, but baked "pudding".) It gets pretty cold in the fall/winter. They offer extra blankets, but I still found it very chilly. I really liked the communal spaces and the hammocks, love a good hammock. I think this hostel is probably really busy in the...

"I booked and arrived late, a lovely young woman welcomed me and showed me to my cute little self-contained unit in the back garden. Very grateful for the room at that time. It was well stocked with all i the appliances etc I needed. Quiet. Shower floor could have done with a clean. "

"Pros: -Great location, super quick walk from the ferry and cafes -friendly atmosphere -good sized private rooms with sink -nice garden area for relaxing -great value for money Areas for improvement -people were quiet but the nature of the building means if anyone arrives late it’s quite loud due to the wooden floors and thin walls -kitchen wasn’t well equipped - no baking trays, foil, salt/pepper, which was a bit limiting if you want to cook for yourself. "

"I don't know how Expedia could list such a property on its website. The property is indicated as a backpacker establishment but it is more a boarding house for the down and out. The premises were filthy and unsanitary, the carpet was solid with dirt and sticky, the sheets had blood stains on them, there was rubbish and boxes lying everywhere in the common areas. I felt unsafe. When I told the proprietor that I wanted to leave she insisted on taking a cancellation fee. There was nothing else...

"Great place away from the hustle and bustle of Kaiteriteri. Had everything we needed and close enough for us to visit all the places we had planned e.g. Abel Tasman walks,kayaking, boating. Accomodation very clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful hosts. "

"Cool spot outside Abel Tasman. Pool tables and darts along with a small "cinema" make any rainy days easy to pass. Bunks inside containers, cool setup."

"The twin room was next to the kitchen where people came in and had very loud concersations until 2.30am and the first people in the morning arrived at 6.30am. The only windows where to the kitchen and the hallway and there was no fresh air. Over all too hot and too noisy to get enough sleep."

"I liked the service, the amenities in my room, bed was super comfortable, warmth and welcoming. I actually felt very relaxed which is what I needed and hoped to achieve."
