Toshijima, Toba hotel rooms at the Independent

"Outdated place but we used 4 twin beds room with living room for my family of 3 adults so it was nice. The bathroom has kind a high step to enter, that I hit my toes one time. Nice view! Enjoyed the sun rise from ocean. Almost could see the wedded rocks. "

"As this hotel is a 20-minute walk from the train station, there are few restaurants/cafes nearby but there is a FamilyMart across the street. The hotel is an old budget hotel charging high rates since it is in Ise - so not a good value. The furniture in the rooms is old and visibly damaged, while the mens onsen spigot is rotting wood. Check-in is at 4pm unlike other hotels at 3pm. I would rather sleep on the floor than the mattress, which is small for a double and lumpy with springs."

"Love the toyoko chain! They’re efficient, thoughtfully designed, and walkable to the train station. Breakfast is great. It was raining when I arrived and the walkway from the station is mostly covered. "
