A clean and tidy hotel with nice refurbished rooms less than 10 minutes walk from the station. There are no real bar facilities available for a pre dinner drink at the hotel. There is a bar but it had no beer and no wine during our stay. Breakfast was a decent selection of the usual pastries, other continental breakfast items and decent coffee.

What we did not like: Bathroom has nowhere to hang wet towels and bathrobes, we can see the hooks behind the door were removed; the toilet needs a good scrub, colored stains can be seen near the bottom of the bowl - probably water stain? What we liked - the room is very spacious, the bed linens are clean and very comfortable, we also liked the soft pillows. We were able to rest very well. And we also appreciate the very gracious and friendly staff.

The hotel just started up after lockdown, so it had some issues with airco, hot water and toilets. But the staff were very helpful to solve any issues.

The room itself was nice, however the air conditioning was terrible. We told the reception and they said they’d send someone up but never did. I asked again on our last night and the receptionist came up and said they’d fixed it, when we came back from our evening meal the room was 27 degrees! When I asked to change rooms as we had barely slept our whole stay their attitude was terrible. The pool was also out of service 2/3 days we were there. A real shame as if the staff had been nicer and more helpful it could have all been a more pleasant experience

NO AIRCO, LOTS OF MOSQUITOES

Another hotel with issues. May 12th 2025; The hotel has NO AIRCO. They chose not to tell the customers, because they would stay away ofcourse. But they do charge you the full price of a proper hotelroom. That the hotel needs maintenance is clear. It is old fashioned and outdated, so I do wonder what other surprises will show up. But since the temperature in the room is hot, the only ventilation you will find is an open window. Unfortunately I didn't think about the huge amount of mosquitoes, the noise was to be expected. So it's a choice between not sleeping due to overheating or due to the sounds of mosquitoes and the itching result of being their target. All for a 100% price, with no reductions, to stay at what more feels like a camping than a hotel. Tip: You have a lot of better opportunities in the area.
