"We loved Upper Rooms. As a note to anyone staying here, be sure to contact owner at least 24 hours in advance to get check in information. Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and pillows and a nice little balcony overlooking the marina. We found food within walking distance and the morning breakfast was satisfying."

We took the best room comprised of a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, living room, and media room. All of those were a decent size so it felt like living in your apartment. "Coralie and her staff were always so nice and helpful. The breakfast had a variety of delicious options. The property is conveniently located close to the beach and a couple really good restaurants. We 100% preferred the beach in line with the hotel compared to the private one that the shuttle brings you to because you’re dependant on the shuttle service to get back which was not reliable when we were there and much more uncomfortable rocks under our feet.

"My stay at the Splendid Hotel in Taormina was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to the town center and the cable car that takes you down to the sea. It’s the perfect base to explore everything Taormina has to offer.

"I loved this property and will stay again! There was 4 of us and we stayed for 6 nights. The staff were amazing- kind attentive genuinely helpful. The room was quite clean beautiful and bright with a view overlooking the sea. The breakfast was basic but good and the dinner was delicious. We went out most days nights because we wanted to see the surrounding area. Location is great - you can easily walk to the cable car however if you’re from the states this may feel scare as they don’t have a side walk and cars go very fast. At one point the bus came past us and it felt like the scary instagram reels. You do get used to it and locals walk these narrow roads often. If you don’t feel like walking the staff will call you a cab and it was only $20 each way for 4 people which is actually less expensive then the cable cars. There is also a bus stop 20 feet from the entrance. Other great experiences were the beach and service at the beach. The beach is private and there is an attendant to help you with seating towels drinks and etc. right next door there is a place to borrow kayaks and paddle boards. The view was amazing and overall it was an incredible stay!!"
