The front desk staff and breakfast were excellent. The hotel is conveniently located to the train and bus stations, cruise port and shopping. Unfortunately our room was subpar, walls were scuffed up and damaged, shower didn't drain well and there was a thick coating of dust on many of the surfaces.

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Trieste, Italy. We stayed here 2 nights prior to a cruise. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and quiet with a great shower. The staff in the hotel were helpful and kind (and patient) and the breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee. It was conveniently located so we could wander for a few hours and go back to our room for a short rest (it was very hot). We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and if we are ever here again, we would not hesitate to book this lovely hotel.

This is a terrific little hotel right in the HEART of Trieste. Trieste, by the way, is a place (if you love Italy) you should absolutely visit - cuz it's just 'simple cool'. The hotel is just lovely. Simple, and the breakfast was TREMENDOUS!

This is a really lovely hotel. Full of character and history, but well refurbished. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, all of them. Our room, which was clean and comfortable, overlooked the inner courtyard and when we requested one with better light they saw to it quickly and efficiently. The first room had a walk-in shower, the second a bath (with jacuzzi) and hand-held shower, but the pay-off was two French windows and balcony. The breakfast buffet is astonishing: juice, fresh rolls, croissants, pastries, crispbreads, toast available, a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, great selection of cereals and muesli, lovely fruit including fresh, dried and stewed (plus prunes - my favourite!), freshly made cakes each day, the list goes on, too much to list here. Wonderful coffee. The location was perfect for our needs: a 5 - 10 minute walk from the station and also from the old centre in the other direction. The beautiful Opicina Tram stops just outside. The wonderful Caffe San Marco is a stone's throw away. I can't fault any of it - highly recommended.

Please note this one point. The notes say it has on site secure parking. It does not. Secure parking is a 10 minute walk away. This may seem trivial to some, but when you're a motorcyclist on tour, carrying 50kg of luggage, as well as wearing protective clothing, and it's 31 degrees outside, this is a deal breaker. Hotel, please be honest with your details. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are great.
