Not only did she acclimate us to the hotel, she helped carry our bags, and she helped plan the things we did while we were in the area. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was super. โThe Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat.
We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....
โFerme Lamy was pretty much an oasis of calm during our two days there. Our host Arnaud was helpful in every way possible. The pool was a beautiful and refreshing respite from the demands of tourism. Breakfasts were complete and ample. The one dinner we had there was marvelous, sitting in the shade overlooking the pool and fields. It was 3 courses. First was a delicious patรฉ as entrรฉe, and then the main plat was duck breast with green beans, followed by crรจme brulรฉ dessert. Our room was small but...
โPhenomenal location at the edge of a panoramic bastide. Expensive, but very good restaurant in the hotel itself (not always open in mid October). Some good restaurants nearby, but many also not open for dinner in mid October (although open for lunch).โ
