“This is a magical place in the middle of no where. Staff is amazing. Location is amazing. The set up is a lot of walking and good for all the visitors. The walls are very thin tho. So ya can’t have your tv loud. But I wasn’t there to watch tv. I was there to relax. And that I did. I will be back. ”

“This is an old building. It reminds me of the one that the homeless people stay in in downtown Portland. Apparently, if you use the toilet paper in your room, they charge you an amenity fee. Lots of stairs. There are lots of other places to stay.”

“All good except a bathroom sink in need of a Formica makeover. Clean, respectful, everything worked, nice view, good value ”

“This place was amazing. Beautiful room, beautiful view beautiful grounds. Pet friendly. The staff were lovely to my family and dogs. We would definitely stay here again and I probably will next time I am passing through. ”

“Getting in the property through the main door can be challenging (steps and doors are in the way when you are carrying luggage) but we found out that there a door on the side which is a lot easier to get in. Overall very nice, the room was some smaller than expected. We had a nice time at the spa. Definitely recommended if you stay in Hood River.”

“We had a great room facing the river with treats for our dog. Older building with some issues with maintenance. Overall, though, a great stay. Nice staff. Excellent walking path. ”

“The air conditioning worked. Room was basic but clean. Within walking distance to shops/ restaurants, coffee shops. ”

“There was dried food matter in the refrigerator and on the stove, just over all very dirty. The staff were very friendly, but the room wasn't clean at all. They did have a help wanted sign on the front sign, so I'm guessing they were short on help. We just went and got some supplies and cleaned it up. The tv barely worked as well, just kept going on and off. Reception problem I'm sure. Fortunately we had lots of plans for outings so we we mostly just there to sleep. But if I had any advice...

“Hosts were outstanding on check in. I arrived later in evening around 7:30 pm and they were friendly and receptive and recommended dining options. Even walked me down to the cabin to show the way in the dark. Room was immaculate and beautifully done and very comfortable. Would stay here anytime when within the area. Good location and convenient to attractions, dining, and all basic staples.”

“The place was not clean. Spiders in the room. Grout in the shower was gross. The toilet water was yellow. Did not feel safe. Had to put table up against door for safety. The front desk gentleman could not get the key to the door to work. He had to get DW40 to finally get key to work. We were worried about not being able to work getting in and out of door.This whole experience was terrible! Should have asked for money back and gone somewhere else. We were just so over it and exhausted.”

“Gretchen and Chris are amazing hosts! They are so friendly, full of information to share and suggestions for the area, and make you feel at home. Their property is beautiful and comfortable. My husband and I toured around Oregon for 10 days and this was my favorite stay!”

“Cabin was spotless when we arrived, loved the cute little S’mores kit for Two they left for us. Also loved that they provided bundles of wood for the outdoor fire pit. Communication with the host was seemless and easy. Love the little note they left for us in the cabin when we arrived.”
