Cancelled our reservation the day of arrival

Hi, my reservation was cancelled the day I was supposed to arrive so I never stayed here. My group was left without a hotel and had to rebook a more expensive room at another hotel the day of arrival. One of the members in our group wasn't even notified of her room getting cancelled (Sara Walker). Very disappointed and it was not a great introduction to the OYO hotel.

This facility was totally shutdown for renovations. There was construction fencing around the entire property with all the gates padlocked. Of course, we didn’t find this out until 11PM, after driving for almost two hours from Phoenix. I tried many times (like 10 ) to call or contact Oyo. Trying to get through their phone tree is an exercise in total futility. I got cut off several times. When I finally got through, they didn’t say anything about the hotel being closed - they just transferred me back to the phone tree of a closed hotel!! Then, they said they had charged me $98 for not confirming and canceling my reservation. Really?!? How can they even attempt to charge me for not confirming a room that’s not even physically available because (wait for it) they’re closed!!!!! Finally, I got through to their customer service (apparently, there is a God) and they said that they called me to let me know that they canceled my reservation. Really? That’d be a neat trick, as I was on a flight from Seattle to Phoenix with my phone on Airplane Mode. So, now it’s 11:30PM - been traveling all day, big time issues with National Car Rental (don’t get me started!) and now - no place to sleep. Luckily, for us there was a Super8 next door and we got their last room. The manager who checked us in said that our story/ situation wasn’t new and that he gets numerous people every day with the same circumstances - allowed to make reservations at a hotel that’s closed.

No way to stay here!

This hotel is closed!!! Why I keep getting emails from them is crazy! No notice from Oyo, no notice from Hotels.com and I had to find a new place to stay on the fly.

They were closed when I arrived and when I called, they referred me to a property that would not answer the phone. This was a last minute cancellation and I still have not received a refund for my pre-paid reservation.

It felt abandoned. Im positive I was the only person in this hotel in a suspicious part of town. My room seemed to be undergoing a half hearted makeover and the man at the window made checking in a complete hassle. They don't tell you about the $100 deposit for the room prior to booking and are given a list of rules such as not being able to have guest in your room and that they can and will enter your room when they want to. There are no working ice machine or available vending machines. I will not revisit this site or recommend it.

Avoid this property.

Avoid this hotel. While i was in my vehicle in the parking lot waiting for the 3pm check in, the owner came and yelled at me saying that i was trespassing. I told him i had a reservation and he said 'get the f**k off my property or I'll call the police. Come back at 3pm.' There are many similarly priced hotels nearby. Choose anywhere else if you want to have a good stay.

The motel need more improvement

Well the motel room is small and no electrical outlet for charging your phone and sometimes it smell, the TV some channel is not good, I don't think I will come back, it need improved

When I arrived, I asked about the rates and check out times, etc and was hurriedly and impatiently rushed by a woman who kept telling me she couldn't understand what i was saying. I asked that she write it down and so she did - part of it I couldn't read and as I wanted written confirmation before purchasing. So I asked that she slide it through the glass drawer that I handed my ID and bank card, but she absolutely refused. Naturally, when one refuses point blank to hand over a written confirmation especially when it is not all legible but tells me to wait uuntil I purchase and get a receipt raises more than just a flag and alarm. So I persist in trying to reason that it makes no sense in not just slipping it under the window so I can review it to be sure that I want to purchase anything from them!! Then suddenly as she still "insists" she can't understand me she frustratingly grabs my cards and throws them in the slot and tells me ro go elsewhere. Just for posterity when I felt something was amiss I began to video the incident.

Horrible , the guy behind the window called the police on me because i popped the receipt lapsed out of the card reader machine after he charged me $160. When the police arrived the man behind the window got mad because i was recording everything and told the police he would like me removed from the property. I have everything on recording from beginning to end. I live in Vegas and i work construction traveling. I had to sleep in my car that night.

There was human excrement left on the toilet from a prior guest. Not sanitary. They would not provide additional shampoo or soap. Very cheap.

Reception was nice and kind .. unfortunately the heater knob was kind of broken and the shower was not very warm ... room was clean at least and the bed was nice but I was dismayed to find that for some reason there was some kind of work being done in the room next to me or above me as I heard continuous banging and loud noises from 8 at least; but I'm pretty sure it was even earlier. I understand the need for repair, and much was needed ... but the whole was almost completely empty and I couldn't believe that I was put right next to the room that was getting work done so early. I would have appreciated if they would have waited later for the work to be done .... but to start so early and to put me right next to the room; I was so irritated and frustrated and lost a lot of sleep. The heater I could never get the room warm because the knob was broken and the shower was quite lacking. The bed was nice and I slept well until the construction worker started so early.
