The building is one of Finnish architect Erik William Bryggman's masterpieces completed in 1929 and renovated in the early 2000s. More information about this can be found online. I remembered vividly this occurrence. About check-in time, yes, you arrived at the hotel in the morning when guests were still in their rooms as the hotel was fully booked the previous night. I informed you that I could arrange a room for you for an early check-in fee of 15 euros immediately a room is available in the category you booked. You declined the offer and decided to go to the city instead. You came back before 12 noon requesting your room, and I politely told you the situation hadn't changed. You got your laptop from the luggage room and decided to do some work in the lobby. I want to clarify here, that you reserved a standard queen room and cleaning was done as soon as previous guests checked out. It was unfortunate that you were upset that others could check in as their room type became free and you had to wait - not because it was a cheaper room and you paid more; nothing to do with the room price. These other customers were even surprised by your reaction/behaviour here at the reception. We have a different recollection of events and no one here shouted at you. Thank you for your visit and we hope we can welcome you in one of our Scandic hotels in the future.
