Almost 5,000 miles away from the US mainland, American Samoa National Park is a place few venture to. It's tropical climate, South Pacific views, unique culture, and opportunity for #adventure make it one of my favorite places. Even a short hike on the lower Sauma Ridge trail feels like an achievement when the temperature is reaching 100, but views like this make it worth it.

Here's how you catch a ride around the island. $2 USD will get you all the way around, all day long. They aren't comfy but as you can see, nothing beats them for style.
A very cool find in Pago Pago! It's called flowerpot rock as evident with the plants growing out of the lava type rock.

We went to American Samoa to visit the National Park and this hotel is right near the visitor center. It has a great beach on property, and we swam in it every day. There is also a great restaurant alongside the property that serves meals all day that are tasty, great portions and reasonably priced. ...
