Hotel Las Arenas Balneario Resort

"I chose an expensive room with a balcony and a sea view. The room was okay, but the bathroom was let down as there was no proper walk in shower, which was a problem for me as I had injured knee and couldn’t climb into the bath. Plus there was insufficient hanging space (particularly for ladies long dresses). As such I was overall disappointed with my room. My recommendation when booking a room at this hotel is to ensure that the room you choose has a walk-in shower. The staff cleaning the rooms were nice and friendly and kept the room immaculate. The breakfast was self-service, but with waiters and waitresses serving coffee and drinks. My only criticism was that the tables were not cleaned during courses and we had a buildup of plates > this service should be improved. The bar in the main reception was good and had most drinks. The concern I had was that when in a large group you should keep a record of what you drink? I ended up paying for other of my groups drinks when there was a confusion over who ordered what when it came to check out. I suggest when you order drinks that you sign for immediately and keep a copy of the receipt. This way there will be no confusion when checking out. My overall experience of the Hotel was good. The reception and concierge were first rate and I have no complaint with how I was dealt with."

"The property was in truly remarkable condition. It had everything we needed, and it was clear that whoever set it up had thought of even the smallest details. At first, I was a little disappointed to learn that it was in the basement, since the listing I’d seen showed a terrace. But in the end, it didn’t matter. The basement had windows, and everything was so beautifully prepared that I forgot about it almost immediately"

"The staff does not speak proper English and there was no support in contacting the reception. The rest was okay. Especially good was the location next to a shopping center; however, there was an issue with commuting by public transportation."
