"We were very impressed how professional, helpful, courteous and friendly the staff are. The hotel itself was spotless, there wasn't one area that was not up to a high standard. Our bedroom, while not the biggest, was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, terrific shower and in-room tea & coffee were supplied daily as were fresh towels. The breakfast was included and it was excellent. A wide range of food, hot drinks and fruit juices were on offer. The hotel has a rooftop bar, sun bathing area and a small pool. Its a great suntrap up there. The hotel is situated at the heart of Valletta. It is a 10min walk from most of the major attractions, restaurants and bars in rhe city centre. The only thing I would tell people to consider is that to walk from the hotel to the main area in Valletta is up a steep hill.If you are a little infirm or unsteady walking uphill, this hotel may not be for you but my wife and I are in our 60s and managed it easily. Taking everything into consideration, I would highly recommend The San Karlu for a stay in Malta."

There’s loud music that is muted by the doors and windows except Friday night when we could hear a little music, but it was fine. Every employee we had contact with was helpful & very polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

We loved the Maltese balcony in our room. When the windows were closed it was so quiet for a good might sleep. "
