The accommodations themselves are highly functional but not lavish. There is plenty of room, kitchen is well equipped, shower worked well, likewise A/C. The TV didn't work well, and the staff tried earnestly but vainly to fix it during the nine days of our stay. As a result, the management adjusted our final bill satisfactorily.
The real asset of the Robson Suites is the location, within 5 minutes of a Safeway, an excellent bakery, a liquor store, a host of eateries, and, if necessary, pharmacy and clinic. To enter the amazing Stanley Park is a walk of 15 minutes or so. The beach at English Bay is a similar distance. Public transportation is easily accessible.
Despite a McDonald's a couple of doors down, which attracts vagrants, the premises were quiet and peaceful.
It was a nice place to be. We would stay there again if we're able to return to Vancouver.
