Hotel location is good near Vishwanath temple, but rooms are not good, there is no view on my room, windows covered because kitchen smell will come if open it, they have so many items in menu but you will not get most of the things.

Nice hotel, Bad area
The hotel is good, staff were helpful and friendly. However, the area is not very good. It's about 25 minute drive to the river, a lot of tuk tuk drivers are unwilling to bring you. The area around the hotel was dodgy too.

The hotel said they did not have my booking, despite having paid in full. It took some time to locate my booking. The initial room I was given was next to a wall being jackhammered. It was small and dated. I requested a room change. There was no room service. The website states the hotel is three star, but it does not compare to other three-star hotels I have stayed in. I did not sleep well due to the noise and I did not feel safe. The only reason I stayed was because my booking was non-refundable. Even now I still question whether I would have been better off foregoing the money paid. I would not stay again and I would not recommend.

Inside the hotel it is good. Staff is very friendly. There was this guide who’s name is Vicky who was very friendly and had many connections with the Kashi vishwanath temple pandits who can help to expedite the Darshan, but you are in your own to deal with pandits on the offerings you do because there is not set fees for anything. I liked aloo parata deep fry in the complementary breakfast at the hotel. There Annapurna restaurant right behind the hotel where we had our dinners through out the stay. Hotel also arranged travels to Sangam. Overall this is better hotel given there are not many good hotels in the surrounding.

Location is excellent for a non-ghat property. Located at an important junction which is at the border of the old city and the new city. It is on an average a 15 mins frive from the main ghats.

Just don't eat here.
Stay here since rooms are good. But restaurant and staff are very bad. Service is worst. So always eat outside.

I forgot the mans name who works at the desk behind the main check in counter. He is married and building a house in Varanasi for himself and his extended family. I had a train ticket from Varanasi to Calcutta but no confirmed berth # - he was able to get me a berth # which was great fully appreciated by me!! If I come across his name in my notes I will write another review.

Great value hotel in good location in Varanasi
Stayed for two nights at Hotel Buddha. Staff were extremely helpful. Room very spacious and comfortable. Good location for main attractions and 1.2km to the ghats. This is an excellent value for money hotel in a good location run by lovely people.

A stay made special.
Only stayed 2 nights in Varanasi, but this hotel and it's staff made the time special. Their guide took us to all the mystical and spiritual places and events. We would have been lost and struggling without their help. We experienced the Sun rising through the mist over the Ganges like a magnificent Red Ball of Fire. And we were there before anyone else! I hope to return to Varanasi again and will definitely stay here.

not worthy for the price. In the same rate i have stayed in hotel surya which is not comparable. Everywhere gives a cheap feeling.Room interior is not comfortable. Professionalism was lacking. However the staff were very polite.Vijay was helpful and a great guy.

Short trip in Varanasi
It is a very good hotel with lots of friendly people. Breakfast was as per our needs. Their client friendly approach was very nice and enabled us to complete all that we had to do in Varanasi. Thank you to the Hotel Staff.

O hotel tem que ser avaliado dentro do contexto onde se propõe. Não fica na região dos grandes e mais caros hotéis de Varanasi, mas fica mais perto dos Ghats. O hotel em geral tem uma aparência pior do que a das fotos, embora não seja ruim. O ar condicionado funcionou bem. O frigobar de um dos quartos, não. A limpeza estava até muito boa. Os banheiros são um pouco velhos. Não cheguei a ligar a TV. Os funcionários são bem atenciosos. Isso foi um ponto alto.

worst experience
i have traveled extensively in the last 25 years of my life. i have never come across such a lousy hotel. there is nothing international about this hotel, in fact it is just a lodge and not a hotel. have you ever seen a hotel not providing a bottle of water or a newspaper after charging Rs.6000 for a room, which actually is worth only Rs.2000. easily the most pathetic breakfast you can ever come across. dont waste your time staying in this Lodge, for Gods sake.

Very Average - Avoid if you can
A strictly average hotel. The location is bad in a dirty stinking by lane with garbage mounds all around. The reception staff though friendly are hugely condescending and treat you like infants. I had issues with the lights in the room not working which needed multiple phone calls to set right. though equipped with a cable TV, the connection is quite unreliable. Sub standard quality in the tea coffee self service. Room cleaning is poor and the staff does not make the beds properly, leave the room wide open post cleaning without locking and do not restock toiletry / towels / tea station ! The rooms are quite rundown with peeling paints, rotting door sills, boarded up windows and dirty curtains. The furniture is old and smell musty. The breakfast is very poor - taste, presentation and availability. Ordered room service dinner and the staff was unapologetic about a one hour delay because they were serving other guests and asked me to call later and confirm whether the food would be delivered ! Overall, avoid Hotel Buddha if you can.

Good hotel with quite and peace around it
Stay was good and comfortable. Food was overpriced but tasted good enough. Although I did not face any problems regarding service but it could be improved a bit.

Terribly over priced for what it delivers for room quality. But the service was good. The food was good.Free breakfast was below average (passe) at best.

They were rationing tea bags which was disgusting.In one room TV was not working properly. Overall not a good experience when you compare with other hotel in which you earlier stayed.

Les photos et description de la chambre ne correspondent pas à la réalité. On essaiera de vous refourguer la plus vieille chambre, sans compensation, demandez impérativement à voir la chambre avant de la prendre, mais si cela est prépayé.... Contacter la réception pour avoir de l'eau chaude.

Good value in Varanasi
This hotel offers an excellent and economic stay in Varanasi. It is about 30 minutes walk away from the river and the ghats, but the hotel is happy to arrange a car of an auto rickshaw anywhere. I had a ride to the Assi ghat that included a stop at the mogul area of the city. I was shown the manufacturing looms and processes there. The walk ended up at a sales place, but I wasn't interested in buying anything. Like many other places in India there was a desire to sell things to me. It can feel pressurizing to western tourists, but you can praise saying no! The staff and management are very friendly and helpful. They suggested the trip to Sarnath for me and arranged it. I was very happy that I didn't miss it. The neighborhood is fairly noisy and busy, but that is true of anywhere in Varanasi. The room was fairly basic in international hotel terms, but it had a balcony and a good size bathroom. There are rooms being renovated in the hotel, so in it looks as if modernization is on the way. The room and the hotel were clean, and the terraces and central vault open to the sky is a nice feature. The hotel arranged a car to collect me from the airport when I arrived, and he was still there when I arrived, even though I had a five hour delay on my flight from Delhi. That was appreciated.
