Modern, well located, only lacking a few details

Lovely apartment in Varenna, centrally located near all the cafés and bars. Apartment was very modern but a bit dusty, and very little amenities were provided to make the stay simpler - things like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, coffee grounds or pods, washing liquid for the washing machine. We had some issues with power cutting out on the stay but the team quickly helped to rectify this. Thanks for a relaxing stay!

We had a wonderful stay here and truly enjoyed this area of Varenna and Lake Como. The location is a bit tricky to find, and there are plenty of inclines and stairs to climb, so be prepared, but it is so worth it. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The views are stunning. We were able to walk from and to the Varenna Esino train station which connects to Milan and other cities, as well as the ferry station to visit other popular Lake Como destinations like Bellagio, which are nice to visit, while Varenna is preferable to stay in. There are also several shops, restaurants, and gelaterias nearby, which we very much enjoyed during our stay, as well. We definitely recommend staying here and we look forward to coming back ourselves.

Good: location, washing machine and very small balcony with a view of the lake Not good: not well-maintained apartment. Broken patio door windo, furniture needs an upgrade. Not enough light / lamps throughout the apartment. Stairs to get to the apartment and stairs to go up to the bedroom.

What a disappointment ! Stay away!

Title: Extremely Disappointed with Hotel Stay in Varenna We recently had a highly disappointing experience during our stay at Casa al Prato in Varenna, and we feel compelled to share our grievances. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel regarding our concerns, we received no response whatsoever. Our attempts included calling three different numbers and sending emails, but all our efforts were in vain. To make matters worse, locating the property itself was an absolute nightmare. We spent over an hour wandering around, struggling to find the hotel due to a lack of proper signage or clear directions. This initial experience set a negative tone for our entire stay. Upon finally reaching our room, we encountered several issues that further exacerbated our disappointment. The light in the bathroom was non-functional, leaving us in darkness and rendering the space virtually unusable. Basic amenities such as dishwashing liquid were nowhere to be found. We would not recommend this property. We have contacted the property management and Hotels.com but no one seems willing to take responsibility. What a disappointment!

La ubicación y la vista desde el apartamento muy buena, cerca a pie restaurantes para desayunar, almorzar y cenar, el ferry cerca para ir a todos los demás pueblos del Lago. Lo q le falta q es hagan una renovación de muebles en la propiedad q ya están muy manchados y antiguos los q están por lo demás todo excelente
