Lake Varese

Varese was a nice area to stay in after a long overnight flight , away from the city and in the rolling hills On Lake Varese. We drove 10 min to rent bikes and rode along the lake side path with our kids. The views were quite beautiful. Also had a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant. Rental car is a must to stay here and in the area. Needed to Provide an approx check in time as there is no reception desk per say, which was somewhat stressful to me as we were running glare after making a wrong turn. Irene met us at the gate and showed us to Our room, she was friendly but did not not speak any English.

Beautiful relaxing location!

Very helpful staff, safe, clean and spacious for our family of 4. Very nicely decorated with a great view of the countryside. We slept on the king size bed upstairs and the kids shared the double pull out couch downstairs. Enjoyed the cafe that was a quick stroll from our apartment. Excellent breakfast and lunch foods as well as fantastic coffees at the cafe! Apartment equipped with a stove top and fridge so you can cook meals. Close to the grocery store, the lake, a public pool and pizzeria. An easy 14-16 minute drive to the “Centro” downtown area of Varesse.

En god naturlig oplevelse!

En lille perle midt ude i den smukke natur. Området er for hestefolk, da der er stutteri og restauranten er fyldt med hestebilleder og galophistorier. Vi fik en dejlig lejlighed, ren og pæn. Personalet var sødt og hjælpsomme.

Quiet location and great equestrian facilities

We stayed in one of the small self catering houses. It was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The receptionist Maura was very helpful in organising our check in in advance, coming to meet us etc. Very professional and courteous. Having stayed for a week in a rather grubby self catering apartment with a filthy kitchen near Como, it was nice to have a spotless kitchen at our disposal. The only thing missing was AC or fans as it was still pretty hot and stuffy in the heatwave. Also I think the house was adjoining non tourist houses as there was a lot of noise early every morning of people going to work. Overall a pleasant stay.

Super gastvrij en mooi uitzicht

Wij zijn super vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen door Irene en haar man. Wij kregen de grootste villa voor ons gezin met 3 kinderen. Een hele mooie villa met alles erop en eraan. 2 badkamers, 2 slaapkamers en in woonkamer een slaapbank, een keuken etc. Het uitzicht is fantastisch en het is jammer dat we maar voor 2 nachten bleven. Je bent ook zo op de snelweg richting Milaan.

Peaceful rural setting

Loved the horse farm location and relaxed country feel. We had a separate two-story cottage with free parking nearby. Bath had tub, shower and bidet, harder. Wi-if was free but a bit spotty at nigh. Breakfast was outside at the bar down the road, just coffee and a croissant. A small chapel next door with a bell that rang starting at 8 am and going until 8 at night. Easy to find with GPS, just put in full street name (include the Innocentes part). restaurant on site requires a reservation, gelato stand does not! The gelato store also has local honey, liqueurs and other goods for sale. Refrigerator in room with bottle of water.

landelijk en rustig

Het hotel is niet zozeer een gebouw, maar bestaat uit verschillende appartementen verdeeld over verschillende locaties binnen een groter terrein. Op dat terrein zit ook de manege met renbaan, tevens een restaurant en een koffie-barretje. Die koffie-bar doet ook dienst als ontbijlocatie, maar is niet veel meer dan koffie met een (heerlijke) croissant staande aan een tafel, of buiten. De twee appartementen die wij hadden lagen rustig en mooi op een binnenterrein. De kamers waren ruim en mooi, op de badkamers na. Die moeten hoognodig een opknapbeurt krijgen; geen fatsoenlijke douche te nemen, alleen je haren te wassen boven het (lage) bad. Bovendien hadden beide badkamers last van ongedierte, bij de ene vele kleine spinnetjes en bij de andere kleine wormpjes. Dit bleef wel echt beperkt tot de badkamers, de woon en slaapkamer waren schoon, tevens ook het keukentje. Voor ons zeker toch een leuk verblijf, we hebben kunnen genieten van de mooie delen van de kamers.

Hotelrommet var ett lite hus med alle fasiliteter. Fantastiske landlige omgivelser sel om en er svært nær Varese. Topp servise av personalet og god parkering. Frokosten var på en liten kafe rett over gaten sammen med de lokale som skulle på jobb, sjarmerende! Kommer gjerne tilbake :-(
