"While the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was amazing, getting into the hotel reception and then to our room, was quite arduous. There are about 25 steps up a smelly staircase before getting to an old tiny elevator of sorts, that takes you to the next floor and reception. Then we had to climb an additional 25 plus stairs to our room. The staff did help with that. The room is very dated, the bedspread and thin and the threadbare blanket under it have done their time. So, if you're into the location, and have great mobility, and light luggage, this might work for you."

"Private room was more than adequate for our needs. Terrace view was nice and location was good to walk to attractions. Some guests were a little noisy at night. We’re talking 1am, well after the quiet time suggested at 11pm. "

"Chose this hotel after our flight was canceled. Staff was extremely welcoming. Rooms were clean,neat and well appointed. No frills but everything was very clean. Coffee/bakery area had an amazing breakfast selection. We didn’t have the buffet but looked thru the room and it looked very nice as well."

"The hotel staff, service and amenities are too notch. The breakfast is amazing as well. The location is also really convenient to attractions. The room itself was very dark, which, we are dining is the case with European hotels. Each time we came back to our room it had a terrible foul smell, like sewer. Once we opened the windows and the air conditioner / fan was running it was fine, but we had to do this every day for the 6 nights we we stayed - in hindsight we should have “complained” but each day we thought maybe it won’t be like this today. The same smell was in the streets where they were doing construction. Aside from this the hotel is absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend. All the services and staff are so wonderful and attentive. "
