The hotel is simply beautiful. It is very private with the most peaceful view of the ocean and pool surrounded by palm trees and mountains. It offers an unbelievable breakfast with something for everyone. The property is very well maintained, clean and staff very pleasant and always willing to accommodate. It has an excellent location with a 10 minute along the ocean to center and ferry. S Jorge is a beautiful, lush island and S Jorge Garden did an amazing job incorporating the same beauty into their grounds. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

L’hôtel est vraiment très bien nous avons pu disposer de la chambre dès notre arrivée à 11h30. Ile de Sao Jorge est magnifique, dommage qu’au niveau restauration de l’île (l’hôtel n’a pas de restaurant) il y a du bouleau: on nous a servi du surimi dans un riz aux fruits de mer. Sur les 4 îles des Acores que nous avons visité c’est à Sao jorge qu’on a le moins bien manger

Hotel al di sopra di ogni aspettativa. All’altezza di un quattro stelle, anzi meglio di tutti i quattro stelle in cui abbiamo soggiornato nelle Azzorre. Camera spaziosa, ottima colazione, ottima pulizia della stanza, bellissima la posizione fronte oceano.

The only complaints. The hotel was short staffed, and the breakfast buffet could have been hotter. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens and has a good pool overlooking the sea.good rooms but limited bar facilities. The few staff were very good and extremely helpful if aart from one, having little understanding of English

Magnifique emplacement!
Hôtel très recommendable, paisible durant notre séjour ( juin), petit déjeuner ( buffet) avec de nombreux choix. La piscine est propre. L’endroit est magnifique avec esplanade sur la mer. À proximité de tout: centre-ville de Vélas, piscines naturelles, restaurants.. Agréable séjour!

Superb and untouchable
The check in was perfect. So courteous and helpful. The room was fabulous —- I loved the sunset and moon overnight. The breakfast was such high quality. The stay stands Out above all accommodation and service I have seen and felt in three weeks in Açores and Madeira. Fabulous attention to detail, quality, professionalism and care —-I felt like I was in a family hotel and will recommend it to friends. Love the children’s furniture and care for wildlife in the gardens. Thank you to your w on Sergio staff in front desk (Ricardo) and in the restaurant for breakfast—— so courteous!!! And great food!

This hotel is in a great location and has a great view of Pico (when the sky is clear). The major downside is that the rooms are really dated and moldy. Also, when we stayed the pool area was not set up. There was no water in the pool or chairs set out, despite the fact that the weather was great. However, it was March, so maybe they are getting the place ready for the summer. Overall, I would say that for the price, this is a good hotel. But it has the potential to be a great hotel.

Not worth the price.....
We visited four islands in the Azores and while Sao Jorge was probably our favorite, this hotel was by far our least favorite (and the most expensive!). We certainly understand that it is low season but for the 81 euro a night they charged, we expected more - the pool was absolutely filthy and not able to be used. The area for breakfast was closed to us and so breakfast was delivered in the room - probably would have been OK except that we had no table or chairs in the room and so ended up eating on the bed. The night clerk could have been friendlier..or friendly at all. And they even forgot to charge our card and so came running after us when we were getting into the taxi. Despite that we were the only guests (or one of the few) they seemed highly disorganized and disinterested in our presence. Other hotels on the islands were much more welcoming. Again, we could have accepted a lot of this given that it is low season except for the fact that the price was so high for the services received. We will not be staying here on our next visit to Sao Jorge.

This was such a lovely hotel! Very comfortable and clean. The view of the ocean and Pico from the room was such a treat. The pool was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend Sao Jorge Garden Hotel!

Na ilha de S. Jorge, este pareceu-nos ser o melhor hotel disponível. Situa-se a 10 minutos a pé do cais do Ferry. Tem piscina e uma vista para a ilha do Pico maravilhosa. Está situado numa zona sossegada. Pequeno almoço com muitas opções.

Excelente opción para conocer San Jorge.
La estancia en el hotel fue en temporarada baja, pocos huespedes pero incluso con eso el desayuno (buffet) fue muy bueno. A 5 minutos del centro del pueblo con varios restaurantes.
