We found this hotel by chance after canceling our stay in Avignon and it was a pleasant surprise. Very kind staff, beautiful countryside views, spacious rooms, and reliable AC. I would strongly recommend this hotel to live the lovely French countryman experience.

This hotel was really interesting as it is set in a small ancient town near Avignon but is elegantly decorated, comfortable and with very helpful management. We couldn't believe the special touches throughout and lovely artwork - a real find worth the short drive from the motorway at a reasonable price. Breakfast was a also a masterpiece served in a unique setting.

This is one of the most wonderful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large (even by US standards), the breakfast was fantastic, but the people were beyond all expectations. Henri, Veldi, Dominique, and Norwin (the folks who manage and run the place) are the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly and kind people you will meet as a traveler. Truly an exceptional visit. There are no downsides. Just fantastic.

This hotel was the highlight of our Provence trip. The owner and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. They are generous on their servings. This was a surprisingly comfortable and wonderful stay. Breakfast was excellent. Bedding was incredible comfortable. Nice touches elevated the stay. Will stay again!

Hotel 1770 & Spa served as our home base during the week we spent visiting Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Pont du Gard, Arles, and Nimes. Sandine, the Hotel Manager, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay at this charming little B&B in Avignon, run by a very kind and warm-hearted couple. Neither of the owners spoke fluent English, but we were able to communicate perfectly well using a translation app. I also did my best to practice my elementary French, which made the experience feel even more personal and memorable.
