Incredible hotel.. a great way to travel back into the past. 1908 I believe. Amazing history to this place. Expect smaller rooms however amenities are excellent. We stayed in a good room which we had never done before. It was nice to be able relax, play games, have a drink, and relax with a beautiful view. All the staff we encountered were amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great .
