Beautiful hotel with a private beach. The staff were exceptional and eager to ensure we had the best stay possible. The included breakfast was over the top with options and was exceptional. They had a lovely turn down service and many poolside amenities. We didn't partake in the spa, but the options looked awesome. The beach had reserved beds with umbrellas that were free, but we visited in the off season so i'm not sure if that varies. Villasimius offers a very cute beach town with restaurants and shopping just a few miles away. Overall, the hotel was excellent. My only critiques are that the room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the mattress was very firm. Both are very typical of European hotels, but nice to know ahead of time. Overall, would definitely return!

Amazing place set on one of the beautiful beaches of Villasimius. Great service with attention to detail. Well located close to the little town and other beaches and scenic spots. Large open spaces reaching out to the beach.

We were here for the second week of a two week Italian vacation. Resort was breathtaking. Well maintained and served our needs as we had hoped. Morning breakfast buffet is included and did not disappoint. Everything from smoothies plenty of fruit dairy and breads. Omelette station was very good. My only disappointment was the very overpriced dinner buffet. We stayed in one night and for $70 a person not including drinks the value received for the fee was poor at best. I would suggest anyone staying here to walk the 1 mile to the marina and pick one of the two excellent restaurants. We ate at Delia three times and for $60 we got a three course meal with desert and two drinks for $60. Much better value. Other than that this resort is outstanding.

A historic 5* that has lost its touch / magic

Clean room, Federico who checked us in was nice. They have a good time for checkout. Main pool is nice spacious area and they have bar service coming round. I liked that they gave complimentary water everyday. Breakfast was a good spread and on until a decent time (10:30) Beach area is nice, what isn’t great is that they charge you to use the first two rows which are the nicer beds. Further back rows are free for hotel guests. You can’t put the umbrellas down either. It’s a shame someone didn’t explain the hotel or the activities available when we arrived. We discovered stuff along the way. They should do at check in or have something in the room. The rooms need more soundproofing. We could hear upstairs all night which kept us up - we had to tell reception to ask them to keep it down. Didn’t feel like they did - we then tried to call reception an hour later (early hours of the morning) and no one would pick up. You can hear your neighbours when they are in the shower as well. The spa needed some TLC and updating. A few parts in their pool didn’t work. The emotion room was emotionless, the sauna small and wood coming up, the steam room was the hottest one I’ve ever visited and large. My wife had a massage and said it was ok. Not worth the money.

Couple of issues including spa

The hotel is about a five-minute drive from Villasimius, 65 minutes from Cagliari Airport, and around 75 minutes from Cagliari itself. After turning off the main road at a roundabout, you drive down a short dirt track with signage for reception. Guests enter through a gate and park in front of the hotel. Check-in was straightforward — we arrived at 12:30, waited about 10 minutes, and were then upgraded. ⸻ First Impressions & Design The hotel’s interior design is questionable — the lobby furniture is mismatched, and the colour choices feel jarring rather than stylish. The terrace above the dining area offers pleasant views of the pool, however. ⸻ Room We stayed in Room 1011, a ground-level room with a terrace facing the inner courtyard. This can be noisy when other guests are on phone calls, as sound echoes. • Design: cupboard doors decorated in bright abstract green patterns (Sardinian weave style), and an unusual green-and-white ethnic-style headboard. • Beds: one double and one single. • Amenities: one small bottle of water per day (insufficient, especially with a coffee machine), four Nespresso capsules, glasses, and wine glasses. Wonderful hotel

This hotel is absolutely stunning! A wonderful trip! The breakfast was delicious and there are many options to cater all needs. The staff have excellent attention to detail and nothing is too much bother for them. Lovely reception staff who can order taxis, reserve tables in beautiful restaurants etc. Highly recommended!!

Don’t buy the spa package and half board

The hotel is nice, remote, and room comfortable. Staff were nice. I paid for the spa package but it was wasted money because no spa appointments were available. Do not purchase the package. We got half board but had to pay for water! The dinner and breakfast was meh, my husband got sick, one morning I got the ham for breakfast but couldn’t eat because it was sticky/slimy. Would not get the half board. There are a lot of restaurants in town a 20 minute nice walk from hotel. Beach is a 10 minute walk from hotel with a golf cart shuttle.

Staff very helpful and reassuring. Helped me and my son get medicine for sore throats after our long flight! Rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Pool is beautiful! They have a nice private beach with clear water in the ocean. Overall this place is a little paradise.

This is a beautiful resort everything about it was excellent except the food. Which was good when we could get it. We were traveling with children which is hard in Italy when your not use to it and everything closing for siestas every day. and the buffet being set at 70 euros for adults and 35 for children converted to Canadian dollars was very expensive and with very little options make it very difficult. In all Sardania is beautiful and worth the trip
