"Quiet and very nice staff"

"When checking in we asked for a double queen. Went to the room and we only had a king. Went back to front desk, and they told me they didn’t have any rooms with two queens left. This was not ideal since there were three of us, so I had to sleep on the chair. Didn’t even get a few hours sleep because I was so uncomfortable. The door to our room was very difficult to close, making it feel like a fire hazard. No light bulb in the lamp which gave my husband a nice little shock. Front desk person said manager would try to do something to accommodate us, and that they’d be in by seven the next morning. Went to see manager in the morning and was told they wouldn’t be in until around ten. I explained I’d be leaving before then, and I was told they would have the manager call me after they got in. It’s been five days without any attempt to contact me. I’ve stayed here before, but will not return after this. "

"Parking was fairly easy, the staff was pleasant and the coffee was great! The room was clean and comfortable."

"Easy parking. Across the street from Kings Dominion. Decent free breakfast w attentive staff. Bed comfort was ok. Noisy at times but simmered down around 11:00. Clean and easy. Great value for families. "

"The front staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean. However, the last night the smoke detector was chirping. we were advised to take it down and take the battery out. If we needed help to hit zero on the phone. The problem is there was not a phone in the room however we did take the battery out. The property was quiet and clean, and we felt safe."

"Tub didn’t drain, room was full beds even though it was supposed to be queen size. Pillows were nice "

"Upon check in the clerk explained NOTHING about the property. No breakfast can be ordered at X time, pool is this way, nothing. My room was on the first floor, not even on carpet. My room was in the ballroom/ meeting hall. As a single woman traveling alone being on the 1st floor also meant that for safety reasons I couldn’t leave the curtains open with my room window being at the parking lot. So I felt like I was in a closet! You could not see the full tv from the bed even with it being on a swivel mount. I was wondering why the staff was so terrible, even upon check out there was no inquiry about my stay. I realized upon leaving that this courtyard used to be a residence inn. I guess they left the staff and renovated the rooms because it was subpar. I won’t stay at this location again. "
