"Booked this last minute after a 5hr motorcycle ride. Checked in and changed and left to meet family for dinner. Returned late and showered late and found the bathroom ceiling covered in black mould with mould spores along the architraves, not just one of two patches but multiple spores. The toilet bowl was also filthy towards the rim like its never been cleaned. Like ceiling or door trims. Was only staying 1 night so nothing i could do at midnight. Advised reception at checkout. Emailed management requesting a refund to hold them accountable for the motels poor hygiene standard. Was met with excuses and i should have told them at midnight, well im not sure what would have been at midnight let alone having someone come and clean the bathroom then. Was offered $50 compensation after being offered less then accused of finding excuses to get a refund. So this review is left to warn others to book elsewhere and as i told managment, its clearly not about money, but holding them accountable for the motels horrible hygiene standards. I wonder what else isnt cleaned properly???"

"Good central location. Nice clean room but the street noise was a bit disturbing. The restaurant right next door was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. "

"My room was on the small side but it was still everything I needed. The bathroom was very small but with a big high window I was able to shower in almost full sunlight which, if you haven’t done that, you should try it. The breakfast is simple (cereal/toast) but it’s a bargain. There were some noisy guests who were coming and going late at night and early in the morning, but I can hardly downgrade my review because of other guests. "

"Breakfast is eaten at the club, but the hotel charges more than the club. Recommend not including breakfast."

"The room was clean and spacious. Cooking facilities adequate and check-in was really easy. It wasn’t as modern as the photos looked but it wasn’t bad just a bit dated. The air-conditioner was needed for heating but only blue cool air. We just turned it off we had had packed warm clothes so it turned out to be no problem. Outdoor sitting area was lovely. Although not right in the centre of town, it suited our needs as we were able to cook our own meal at night without the need to go out."

"Location excellent. Close to restaurants and Cook Park and easy walk to town. Staff welcoming. Bed comfortable. Ground floor apartment was spacious, but very dark, and no aspect and couldn’t open windows other than bathroom window so for us felt very claustrophobic. Reception decor is fabulous, not really reflective of the rest of the property. Breakfast pack was ok. I was under the impression when advertised that it was a proper continental breakfast. "
